Overview
Vaidhika Mart is an online marketplace serving a broad product range across multiple categories. The challenge — and the opportunity — was to make that range feel accessible rather than overwhelming.
We approached the project by starting with the shopping flow rather than the visual design. Where do users enter? How do they narrow down from a category to a product? What makes them trust a seller enough to complete a purchase? Answering those questions shaped every design decision that followed.
The resulting storefront is built around one principle: predictability. When every product card looks the same, every category page has the same layout, and every checkout step feels familiar, users build trust fast — and that trust converts. Vaidhika Mart now has a UI system designed to grow: new categories, seasonal campaigns, and promotions can be added without reinventing the design.
The Challenge
E-commerce grows messier as catalogs grow. Vaidhika Mart had a wide product range and an audience that shopped primarily on mobile — a combination that demands a disciplined UI approach. The core problem was scanning speed: users needed to assess products quickly, compare options with confidence, and move toward checkout without second-guessing. On mobile, clunky category navigation and inconsistent product cards were causing people to drop off before they even added anything to their cart.
Our Approach
Built a category-first navigation model that gives users a clear starting point before they see any products
Standardised product card design — image ratio, title placement, price, and CTA — so every card feels familiar
Designed a clean cart and checkout flow with minimal fields and clear progress indicators
Created merchandising blocks (new arrivals, featured collections, campaign banners) that are easy to update without engineering support
Optimised image loading strategy to keep browsing fast even with large product catalogs
